Sweet Benjamin boy...today, you are 2! Oh how we love you more than we could have ever imagined. Though you are trying hard to establish your independence and testing your boundaries daily as any 2 year old does, you are also becoming more loving and even sweeter with each passing day. You absolutely love giving hugs (or as you like to call them, "squeezes") and kisses...especially to your little brother and sister. Speaking of that, you became a big brother just nine weeks ago and we adore watching you in your new role! You want to "help" with the babies as much as you can which usually means helping us give them their bottles (you keep your hand on it for about 2 seconds), standing right next to us when we bathe them and giving them a "pat pat" on their heads when they cry.
At two years old, you love animals (in fact, we just got back from the zoo!), reading books (this is probably your favorite thing to do), Elmo and Cookie Monster, and "cooking." You are a terribly picky eater and refuse most everything we try to give you no matter how we present it. You pretty much survive off of milk! You love being outside even though you are still very cautious with everything you do. We actually love this about you because we don't have to worry about you climbing too high or getting into things when we're not looking.
After months of being extremely attached to us, you finally turned a corner and actually like going to the church nursery or the children's program at mommy's Bible study. I am very thankful for that!
We love you more than words can say. You fill our hearts with so much joy and we are delighted by you every morning. We can't wait to see what your third year brings! Happy Birthday Benjamin Thomas!
