You know how some kids just seem prone to catching every sickness out there? Well, unfortunately, Benjamin is one of those kids. Our poor babe seems to be sick every other week :( Rumor has it that by the time he's 2 or 3, he'll have built up a pretty strong immune system and won't get sick nearly as often... let's hope that's true!
A few weeks back I took him to the doctor b/c he was acting crazy fussy all week. As I suspected, he had a double ear infection. A week later, I took him back not only to follow up on his ears, but also to have his cough checked out. We left with another antibiotic to treat his worsened ear infection AND a nebulizer to treat his newly diagnosed bronchitis.
Let's just say, Benjamin did NOT like those breathing treatments!
He usually started off fine...
...but within about 20 seconds he would get REALLY mad!
It was a long 5 minutes.
Giving up on the fight, but still not happy about it.
Thankfully, the breathing treatments worked their magic pretty quickly and two days later he had almost completely stopped wheezing! By his next appointment he was all cleared up from his ear infections and bronchitis. Yay!
Of course, given that that was all over a week ago, it should come as no surprise that since yesterday, B seems to have picked up another cold. Here's hoping it doesn't move beyond a runny nose and a slight cough :)
