Benjamin has disliked being on his tummy from day 1. During the first few weeks of his life he would scream through the entire 5 minutes we kept him on his stomach! Eventually he stopped crying, but it was obvious that he still greatly disliked being on his tummy. He's strong and can support his own head (he's even starting to sit up in the Bumbo seat!), but for some reason whenever we laid him down on his tummy he refused to pick up his head as evidenced in the photo below...
(Disclaimer: we only let him stay like this for no more than a couple of seconds and he does move his head a little bit, at least enough to breathe!)
...however, that all changed two nights ago when the little man realized he can lift his head!

And now he's all about lifting his head on his tummy and I think he actually likes it (at least for a minute or two!)
I believe his next big feat is going to be reaching for and holding on to things in front of him so be on the lookout for a post on that when it happens!
