B's First Thanksgiving

On Wednesday night, as Matt and I started prepping food for Thanksgiving, we found ourselves thinking back to last year's Thanksgiving when it was just the two of us. With Benjamin's due date only 6 weeks off from that time, we talked excitedly about who he would look like (mostly Matt these days) and what his little personality would be like (feisty, but happy). I clearly remember saying "next year we'll have one more spot filled at this table!" Well, that little spot filler is here and we couldn't be more in love with our little man! He filled our hearts with joy yesterday as he clapped and babbled at the dinner table. Benjamin is by far our biggest blessing in the last year. We are SO thankful for him!

We hosted a low key Thanksgiving at our house this year. Poppa and Goonie came down from Dallas and Susie, Sam and Lucy joined us for the day too. We ate, napped, played, watched Miracle on 34th Street and finished our night off by watching the Horns beat the Aggies (just barely, but still)!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Benjamin woke up from his nap just in time to catch Santa Claus make his arrival in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade..

He obviously thinks Santa is a pretty funny guy.

Yes, I'm being a total nerd and holding up Benjamin's plate of food, but c'mon...it's his first ever Thanksgiving meal! He finished almost all of his turkey and mashed potatoes.
